In
1999 Lu Ann Reeb and Scott Hess from CBS Boston (WBZ-TV) had a vision for
providing their talents and resources to the burgeoning marketplace for
video on the internet. They knew that content would be important, if
Corporate America expected to attract and retain viewers of their programs
on the internet. Who better to produce television class video than broadcast
television professionals?
Skyways Videographers, Engineers, Editors,
and Technicians are all Broadcast Professionals who meet the Skyways high
standard of quality expected in our Broadcast and Corporate projects.

Co-Founder Lu Ann
Reeb is an an Emmy winning Executive Producer, who worked in Television
News for more than 20 years. She was the Executive Producer at WBZ-TV/CBS
Boston before starting Skyways Communications in 1999. As a TV journalist,
she has covered news stories and events including Presidential elections,
major national court cases, jetliner crashes, natural disasters, the Boston
Marathon, and John Glenn’s second historic launch into space. She brings
experience creating high quality video content for Internet delivery such as
streaming video, Webcasting, and Podcasting. Skyways Communications
developed and launched LegalTalkNetwork in 2005, creating a Podcast network
in classic talk-show style, targeting an audience in the legal community. A
variety of corporate clients turn to Skyways to develop custom rich media
content paired with the best technology delivery. As Lu says, "There are two
pieces of the communications puzzle today: Content and Delivery. For us, it
is all about creating the best content and hitting a target audience with
the best-suited technology - that's what makes what we do really work.
Technology will continually change - get better, faster, more convenient,
but if you don't have the best content delivered to the right audience, it
really doesn't matter how it is delivered. We design a strategy for each
client.” Lu has been a speaker on Webcasting content at the Streaming Media
East conference in New York and other industry conferences. She is
completing her MBA at Sawyer Business School at Suffolk University in
Boston. She lives in metro Boston raising two sons. Lu is also a private
pilot, who flies antique classic airplanes for recreation in her spare time
and writes articles on occasion for the Atlantic Flyer.

Co-Founder Scott
R. Hess
worked in Television News for 16 years at WBZ-TV/CBS Boston, receiving
awards for videography and breaking news before the startup of Skyways
Communications in 1999 and launching Legal Talk Network in 2005. In classic
TV news style, he has technically made it happen under the most trying
conditions and recognized early on the value of multimedia on the Web.
Scott's knowledge of engineering guides the company in the vastly changing
world of technology for new media with applications in streaming media as
well as Webcasting and Podcasting. As Vice President of Skyways
Communications, Scott says, "there's a new technology application that makes
communicating on the Internet better and easier every single day and we are
one of the leaders in suiting the right technology to each client's content
and delivering it to the right audience." The availability of
LegalTalkNetwork audio programs, not only on the LTN website but also in
Apple iTunes, Yahoo! Podcasts and RSS feed aggregators will grow the
audience exponentially. Scott has numerous technical achievements including
the design and fabrication of camera mount systems for a variety of
applications, including aircraft. He designed the configurations and
technical specifications for the Skyways Communications DSNG vans and
engineered the Skyways Internet Radio studio. Scott is an experienced
multi-rated and instructor pilot who also holds aircraft maintenance and
inspector licenses and lives in greater Boston.
