Podcasting
The term “podcasting” is a portmanteau of the words iPod and broadcasting. Although an iPod is currently the playback device of choice for podcast listeners, a portable music player is not required to hear your favorite podcasts. Podcasting is functionally similar to the use of timeshift-capable digital video recorders (DVRs), such as TiVo, which let users record and store television programs for later viewing.
A podcast is much like an audio magazine subscription: a subscriber receives regular audio programs delivered via the Internet via an RSS Feed, and can listen to them later.
Anybody can record a podcast, but NOT everyone can produce a podcast with great content!
Don’t get us confused with the amateurs out there with marginal content and homegrown quality. We are professional broadcasters with over 20 years of experience producing television programs. We produce all of our podcasts with that same degree of professionalism and expertise. We know that interesting content attracts listeners so we produces high quality content shows with the creative touch of a radio talk show and the sound of network radio!
Deliver Creative Content To Your Corporate Audience.
You get the best creative services to develop your professional podcast with Skyways Communications. The concept of your custom show begins with a producer who coordinates with your marketing team to learn about your firm’s marketing strategy. An overall format for the show is developed and production elements are created, such as the show “open” and “close” or any stingers and bumps. Professional voice-over talent is used for all voice tracks along with the appropriately licensed music from our library. This is a full service production for your company!
An Engineering Manager Supervises the technical recording of each podcast in our metro Boston broadcast studio. A sound engineer will perform minor editing of the final podcast and give it that professional sound. It will then be compressed for automatic delivery via RSS or as a streaming file. And you can bet that YOUR podcast will sound just as good as a traditional radio show!
